# Marketplaces in the PIM for Shopware: guide
Every setting of the marketplace add-ons step by step: connection to Amazon, eBay, OTTO, Kaufland, Zalando, Mirakl, Galaxus and CHECK24, accounts, categories and attributes by AI, marketplace texts, price rules, scheduled discounts, orders, returns, invoices, reports, messages, shipping labels and test mode.
15 min read From PIM 1.12.78 For Shopware 6.6 and 6.7
- The PIM has a Marketplaces area with tiles for Amazon, eBay, OTTO, Kaufland, Zalando, Mirakl, Galaxus and CHECK24. Every marketplace is its own add-on, and you can add several accounts or countries per marketplace.
- Each marketplace has the tabs Overview, Products, Texts & AI, Orders and Settings.
- The PIM syncs prices, stock and new orders every 10 minutes while the marketplace is active.

## Book and test marketplaces
In the PIM under Add-ons the marketplaces are separate add-ons: Amazon, eBay, OTTO, Kaufland, Zalando, Mirakl marketplaces, Galaxus and CHECK24 for PIM. Each can be tested free for 14 days, and the trial ends automatically. Booked marketplaces come first in the overview, the others are greyed out and show"Book now" with a link to the add-ons.
Regardless of booking, every marketplace has a test mode. It simulates the marketplace in your own shop, so you can try upload, sync and orders without a seller account (see Test mode).

## Overview tab
The overview shows the"In four steps to..." guide and the key figures: products in the selection, active offers, products with errors, orders and revenue of the last 30 days. Below are the last order fetch and the last stock sync, with buttons to run them right away.
The log lists every upload, every stock and shipping notice, every cancellation and every order fetch. It can be collapsed and cleared.

More on the specifics on the page Shopware CHECK24 integration.

## Product selection
In the settings under Product selection you define which products go to the marketplace. Sources are filter presets from the product list, dynamic product groups, manufacturers and categories (with subcategories). A product only has to match one source. Plus the switches"Only active products" and"Only products in stock"."Check selection" shows how many products this gives.
Main products with variants are replaced by their variants, because on marketplaces every variant with its own EAN is its own offer.

## Products tab: check and upload
The product list shows every product of the selection with EAN, price, stock and status (New, Pending, Active, Error, Removed). Before uploading, the PIM checks every product:
- EAN missing, EAN invalid or EAN used more than once: such products are not uploaded. The PIM also detects duplicate EANs for variants that inherit the EAN from the main product.
- Title, description, image or price missing.
You upload the selected products or all of them."Remove from marketplace" deletes the offers at the marketplace, and the products in the shop stay unchanged."Create AI texts" writes texts directly for the selected products.

## Texts & AI tab: own marketplace texts
Marketplace texts live in a separate marketplace language that inherits from the base language. Empty fields show the shop text, your own texts apply only to the marketplace. The language is not assigned to any sales channel and is not visible in the shop. You create it with"Create language", and you can also edit the texts in the PIM under Translations.
The AI writes title and description per main product, and variants inherit the texts of their main product. With"Only products without own text" existing texts stay unchanged. In the settings under Texts you set maximum title length, tone (factual, promotional, technical, friendly) and additional instructions for the AI.
AI access: by default the AI provider from the PIM configuration is used (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini or Mistral). Optionally all marketplaces get their own access with their own provider, model and API key, for example for separate billing.

## Prices
Under Prices you define how the marketplace price is derived from the shop price:
- Price basis: sales price or list price (strike-through price), otherwise sales price.
- Mark-up in percent (for example for the commission, negative for a discount) and a fixed mark-up per product.
- Rounding: none, to.99,.95,.90 or whole amounts.
- Minimum price (Kaufland): how many percent below your price the automatic repricing may go at most.

## Stock and shipping
- Safety stock: subtracted from the available stock to avoid overselling.
- Maximum stock: report at most this many units, 0 = no limit.
- Handling time in working days until handover to the carrier.
- Condition of the goods (on Kaufland new or used in four grades).
- Sync prices and stock automatically: every 10 minutes. Inactive products are reported with stock 0.

## Import orders
With"Import orders" the PIM creates new marketplace orders as Shopware orders, with the marketplace prices and without an email from the shop to the customer. Settings:
- Orders from: older orders are not imported.
- Own sales channel and number range: one inactive channel per marketplace with its own numbers, default prefixes KL-, EB-, OT- and AZ- (for example KL-10000). The PIM creates channel and number range automatically.
- Payment method and shipping method of the created orders, ideally a separate payment method per marketplace.
- Mark as paid: marketplaces only release orders after payment.
- Report shipping: when you set the delivery to shipped in Shopware, carrier and tracking numbers go to the marketplace.
- Report cancellations with a reason: product not available, customer request, address not deliverable or other.
In the Shopware order list there is a Marketplace filter at the top as a dropdown with the active marketplaces. Marketplace orders carry the marketplace logo.

## Several accounts and countries
With"Add account" you create a further account or country per marketplace, for example Kaufland CZ, eBay AT or another Mirakl operator. Every account has its own credentials, products, prices, categories, sales channel and number range."Copy settings" takes over selection, prices, texts and order rules from the current account, never credentials. Accounts without orders can be deleted again.

## Categories tab: categories and attributes by AI
Amazon, eBay, OTTO and Kaufland require a marketplace category for every product. Products without an assignment are not uploaded. In the Categories tab every shop category of the selection gets a marketplace category, and subcategories inherit the assignment of their parent.
- Assign automatically: the automation searches the marketplace category tree, the AI picks the best match. Status per row: open, suggestion, confirmed, inherited."Accept all suggestions" confirms everything at once. Without AI there are only the marketplace suggestions.
- Attributes: for every attribute you define where the value comes from: manufacturer, manufacturer number, EAN, name of the marketplace category, product title, a property or a fixed value. Required attributes are marked. For fixed value lists the AI maps the shop values, and the PIM fills attributes without a saved mapping automatically.
- Amazon: instead of categories you assign product types when new products are to be created.

## Scheduled discounts
Under Discounts you create discounts per marketplace: name, percentage or fixed amount, sources (filter presets, dynamic product groups, manufacturers, categories), start and end. Empty times mean immediately or without end, and times apply in your time zone. Paused discounts stay saved but do not apply.
When a discount starts or ends, the sync reports the new prices within 10 minutes. If several discounts apply to a product, the lowest price wins. On Zalando the discount goes out as a promotional price. In the product list you filter by"discount running","discount planned" or"no discount", and planned discounts are shown with their date.

## Price rules and repricing
- Minimum margin: minimum price = purchase price plus fees plus margin. Products below are flagged. 0 = off.
- Adjust price to competitors (Amazon, eBay): check other sellers' prices hourly. Strategy: lowest competitor, Buy Box or equal to the lowest, with a gap in euros. Never below the minimum price, at most as far above your own price as set.
- Kaufland Smart Pricing: Kaufland adjusts the price itself, and the PIM sends the minimum price for it.

## Returns
On Amazon, eBay, OTTO, Kaufland and Mirakl the PIM fetches returns every 30 minutes. The Returns tab shows order, quantity, reason, refund and status."Book" puts the stock back, creates the credit note on the Shopware invoice (creating the invoice first if missing), sets the payment status to refunded or partially refunded and confirms the return at the marketplace where its interface allows. With"Book automatically" this happens without review.

## Upload invoices and credit notes
On Amazon, Kaufland and Mirakl the PIM uploads existing Shopware invoices of the last 60 days to the order at the marketplace. Optionally it creates missing invoices and also uploads credit notes from booked returns.

## Report tab: fees, margin and payouts
The report shows for 7, 30 or 90 days, this or last month or this year: orders, revenue, fees, refunds, returns, cost of goods from purchase prices and margin, plus trend and best sellers. If the marketplace does not provide exact fees, the PIM uses your commission (in percent, overridable per category) and a fixed fee per order, marked as estimated. On Amazon and eBay the PIM also matches payouts against the orders.

## Messages tab
On eBay, Kaufland and Mirakl you answer customer messages right in the PIM. Conversations can be filtered by open and done, an AI suggestion drafts the reply, and"Send and done" closes the conversation.

## Shipping labels
From every marketplace order you create a shipping label with DHL (parcel, small parcel, abroad automatically Paket International), GLS (ShipIT) or DPD (Web Connect), on Amazon also via Buy Shipping. Sender and credentials apply to all marketplaces, and without product weight the PIM uses the default weight. If you like, the delivery is marked as shipped right away and the tracking number goes to the marketplace.

## Reviews and Fulfilment by Amazon (FBA)
- Request a review (Amazon): 5 to 30 days after shipping, automatically via Amazon's official feature, at most once per order.
- FBA: import orders from the Amazon warehouse and fetch FBA stock hourly. These orders are already shipped and do not change shop stock.

## Errors by email
Under Notification you switch on emails for errors in the automatic sync, order fetch, upload or feedback. The recipient can be the shop email address, you report only errors or also warnings, at most one email per interval."Send test email" checks the setting.

## Permissions
Who may see and use the Marketplaces area is set in the permission management of the configuration matrix.

## Test mode without a marketplace account
"Start test mode" simulates the marketplace in your own shop. Upload, sync, orders, shipping and cancellation notices run as if real, and nothing is sent to the marketplace. The PIM fills missing credentials with sample values.
- Create test order: creates an order from the active test offers. You can ship or cancel it in Shopware as usual, and the response appears in the log.
- Delete test data: removes all test orders, uploaded test offers and the simulated marketplace. The stock of the test orders is booked back.
