Import Shopware 6 prices: selling price, list price and purchase price via CSV

A new price list from your supplier, a price increase at the turn of the year, list prices for a campaign: in Shopware 6 prices reach the shop fastest via file. This page shows which price columns can be imported, how matching works and what happens to tier prices.

What the PIM does here
  • Import prices via CSV or Excel (.xlsx, .xls), also from a URL, matched by product number, EAN, manufacturer number or product ID.
  • All price columns: selling price gross and net, tax rate, purchase price, list price and regulation price.
  • Preview before import: new, changed and skipped rows, warnings for duplicate or missing product numbers.
  • Undo: "Undo last import" restores all prices to their state before the import.

Which price columns can be imported

Column names match the header of the export file. The easiest way: export with the "Prices & stock" profile first, change the prices in Excel and import the same file again.

ColumnContent
price_gross / price_netSelling price gross and net
taxRateTax rate, for example 19
purchasePrice / purchasePrice_netPurchase price gross and net
listPriceList price (strike price) gross
regulationPriceRegulation price, shown in the detail view as the lowest price of the last 30 days
stockStock, handy in the same run

Numbers may use a comma or a dot as decimal separator, the import detects it per column. The file is exported as UTF-8 with BOM so Excel shows special characters correctly.

How a price import runs

  1. Choose the file, by upload or as a URL, for example your supplier's price list.
  2. Mapping: per column you choose the target or "Skip". Mapping, separator and mode are saved as an import profile for next time.
  3. Mode: "Update only" changes existing products and creates nothing new, ideal for pure price files.
  4. Check the preview: number of changes, warnings and errors. With strict mode everything is reset on an error.
  5. Import: the run then appears in the change log with time, file and affected fields.

Tier prices and advanced prices

Tier prices and prices from price rules (in Shopware "advanced prices") are not CSV columns. In the PIM you maintain them in the detail view or for many products in bulk editing:

  • Set tiers: rebuilds the tiers of a price rule for all selected products.
  • Bind tiers to the base price: if the base price changes later, the tiers follow.
  • Transfer to variants: copies the price tiers of the main product to all variants.

More on price rules: Shopware advanced prices and tier prices.

Importing variant prices

Every variant has its own product number, which the import uses to find it. A variant without its own price inherits the price of the parent. If you enter a price in the file, the variant gets its own price. For many variants at once, the variant matrix is often faster than a file.

Frequently asked questions

Can Shopware 6 import prices without a plugin?

Yes, via the built-in import/export with a profile. The PIM adds Excel files, matching by EAN or manufacturer number, a preview before import and "Undo last import".

Can tier prices be imported via CSV?

No. Tier prices and advanced prices are not CSV columns. You maintain them in the detail view or for many products with bulk editing.

How do I import list prices?

Via the listPrice column (list price gross). Shopware only shows it when it is higher than the selling price.

Can I undo a wrong price import?

Yes. "Undo last import" in the change log restores the values before the import. An import snapshot is also stored in the config matrix.
