From a one-liner to a finished product description

Many products start out with a single sentence as their description, often taken straight from a supplier file. In the video, one run turns it into a complete set of texts: product name, description, meta title, meta description and keywords, in German and English at the same time.

What matters is what the AI gets to see. Context chips decide whether name, product number, existing description, manufacturer, price, EAN, categories, properties or weight go into the request. Add a tone and the target fields, and you are ready. The video uses Claude; ChatGPT, Mistral and Gemini are available in the PIM as well.

Features in detail

Your own API key per provider

Each provider gets its own key and model. A connection test in the config matrix shows right away whether the setup works. The key is stored in the plugin configuration in your Shopware database, and requests run through your shop server to the provider.

Choose the provider per run

If more than one provider is active, a selector in the AI dialog lets you pick the right one for each generation.

Unique texts per channel and language

An option generates individual texts for every combination of sales channel and language. Shopware stores texts per language, so if a language is used in several channels, the last generated text wins.

Preview before saving

Generated texts first appear in a preview per language. Only a click on "Apply texts" writes them to the product, otherwise you discard them.

Tips for everyday use

  • Store a master prompt once in the config matrix under "Texts & Translations". It applies to all AI requests, for example form of address, brand spelling or mandatory information.
  • Only tick the context chips that really help. Properties such as material and origin often add more than a long existing description.
  • For many products at once, use the "AI & Texts" tab in bulk edit with ChatGPT or Claude, and DeepL for translations.

Frequently asked questions

Which AI providers can I use?

OpenAI (ChatGPT), Anthropic (Claude), Mistral and Google (Gemini) for text generation, plus DeepL for translations. Several providers can be set up side by side.

Does this work for many products at once?

Yes. In bulk edit, ChatGPT and Claude generate texts and DeepL translates them for all selected products. When a provider reports a rate limit, the PIM waits and retries automatically.

Does the AI also write the product name?

Yes, the name is one of five target fields. In bulk edit it is deliberately not preselected, so existing names are not replaced by accident.
