Export Shopware products: CSV with profiles, filters and all languages
Export Shopware products, and exactly the products and columns you need: the PIM CSV export takes over the filters of the product list, offers seven ready-made profiles, writes all languages into one file and delivers a file that Excel opens with umlauts and the German decimal comma.
- Seven profiles: master data, prices & stock, SEO, images, translations, variants and full export, plus your own profiles.
- Scope: all products or the currently filtered ones, and you can load a preset as well.
- All languages in one file, custom fields as separate columns.
- UTF-8 with BOM, selectable delimiter and decimal separator, variants optional.
Exporting products in standard Shopware
Shopware ships an import/export module that works with profiles and technical field mappings. For everyday work, small things that cost a lot of time are often missing: you only want to export the products you have just filtered in the list. The file should look right in a German spreadsheet straight away, with umlauts and a comma as decimal separator. Translations should sit side by side instead of in separate files. And the unit should appear as "litre" in the column, not as an ID.

Columns and profiles
You start the export in the CSV window of the PIM product list. You choose the columns freely, grouped by basics, price & stock, dimensions & weight, SEO, date & status, variants, visibility, images, properties, cross-selling and translations. It is faster with one of the seven profiles:
- Master data: product number, name, description, status, EAN, manufacturer, categories, custom fields and more
- Prices & stock: gross, net, tax rate, stock, purchase prices, list price, RRP, delivery time, order quantities, unit as plain name
- SEO: meta title, meta description, keywords, canonical URL and search keywords
- Images: cover URL and all images
- Translations, variants and full export
You adapt every profile and save it as your own profile. Which profile is preselected when opening is set in the config matrix in the "Import / Export" tab.
Scope: all or filtered products
The export covers all products or the active filters of the product list, and you can load a filter preset as well. Filters are evaluated as in the list, for example manufacturer, category, delivery time, price and translation status. What cannot be transferred is named explicitly in the dialog: custom filters, RRP status, approval status and the search term. The maximum number of exported products is 5,000 by default, and you include variants with a switch.
Languages and custom fields
The main language, by default the current admin language, is in the main columns such as name or description. Further languages appear as columns following the pattern trans_<channel>_<language>_<field>. Custom fields each get a column cf_<name>, language-specific values cf_<name>__<language code>.
Format for Excel
The file is UTF-8 with BOM so that Excel shows umlauts correctly. As delimiter you choose semicolon, comma or tab, as decimal separator point or comma, rounded to two decimal places. Some columns exist only in the export, for example main category, sales, number of variants, available stock, product URL and absolute image URLs.
Regular instead of one-off
If portals or service providers need the data again and again, a feed is the better choice. The feed generator provides profiles as CSV, XML or JSON under a fixed URL. What that looks like for Google Shopping is shown in the guide create a Shopware Google Shopping feed.
Step by step: export a price list for sales
- Filter: narrow down the product list, for example to one manufacturer and active products.
- Open the CSV window: click the CSV button in the product list and switch to export.
- Choose a profile: take "Prices & stock" and remove columns sales does not need.
- Set the scope: choose the active filter as scope and decide whether variants are included.
- Set the format: semicolon as delimiter and comma as decimal separator for German Excel.
- Save and export: store the selection as your own profile and download the file.
Use cases
- Translation agency: export the "Translations" profile, the agency fills the trans_ columns, and the way back runs through the import.
- Image audit: "Images" profile with absolute image URLs to find missing or duplicate images in the spreadsheet.
- SEO check: "SEO" profile for all products of a category to check meta lengths in the spreadsheet.
- Data handover: full export as the basis for a comparison with another system.
Frequently asked questions
Does Excel show umlauts correctly in the export?
Yes. The file is written as UTF-8 with BOM, so Excel detects the encoding automatically. You set delimiter and decimal separator to match your Excel.
Can I export only the filtered products?
Yes. As scope you choose the active filter of the product list or load a preset. Custom filters, RRP status, approval status and search term cannot be transferred, and the dialog points this out.
Are all languages in one file?
Yes. The main language is in the main columns, every further channel language in its own trans_ columns.
Is there an automatic, regular export?
That is what the feed generator is for. It provides product data as CSV, XML or JSON under a fixed URL.
Who may export?
Super admins always, all other users as long as the "CSV export" feature switch in the config matrix is on. That is the default.
